The Banana Stand
When starting a new life halfway around the world one would find feelings of optimism are often mixed with anxiety. Nancy worries aside, both White and Yellow found the transition from London to the "shiny new" city of Abu Dhabi as amicable as one could expect. After joining the local rugby club (The Quins) they were soon mingling with like minded people and splashing their excess cash doing things most familiar to them, getting all bloked up shit-faced in bars. Unbeknown to them, they had fallen into the ex-pat trap and this consumptious lifestyle was an easy disease-y. After nearly a year of accepting rounds of pints even when in possession of a full vessel, and one too many failed pacts that they would never again be seen in the armpit of Abu Dhabi's nightlife (Hero's), the young lads had an epiphany. The Banana's realised that although raping their livers was awesome, the lack of weekend diversity meant that they were but balls deep in the potential fun shit the Meast had to offer. Enter Team Banana. Two guys with butt-loads of potassium, on a quest to comprehend their new home by means of experience and mis-adventure. This is the pursuit of an ex-pat life less ordinary.
